Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Asmak, the leading provider of fresh and frozen seafood across MENA, revealed its award-winning range of sashimi quality salmon, SALMA at the 2018 Seafex Middle East event.

SALMA products bring one of Norway’s most recognized food brands and a champion of innovation in the seafood industry to the Middle East.

The brand prides itself on ethical farming in a unique environment filled with cold clean water from the fjords of Bømlo surrounding the factory. With a worldwide reach, the brand represents Norwegian values, innovation and craftsmanship, and continues to rely on the expertise of people, not machines, to produce fresh sashimi quality salmon whole loins, half loins and the SALMA BRG burgers.

“The demand for premium quality seafood for sushi and sashimi has skyrocketed in the Middle East, and we want to benchmark ourselves as suppliers of top quality products. That’s why, SALMA was our first choice for premium salmon,” commented Mamoon Othman, Asmak Chief Executive Officer. “As a leading enterprise, we’re constantly looking to grow and evolve our range of offerings. With Salma, we will now make one of the world’s most sought-after salmon products easily available to all B2B and B2C clients in the region,” Othman continued.

At Seafex 2018, Asmak showcased their extensive product portfolio in a state-of-the-art stand equipped with a tasting station for guests, ice-top displays and fridges. As an exhibitor at the largest professional seafood expo in the region, the brand also revealed a number of new industry partnerships that will help continue the brand’s market growth across MENA. Asmak has an extensive B2B and B2C clientele in the region and has witnessed consistent growth by evolving and expanding its business model to include value-added food services for all customers.

With major investments lined up for the company in near future, Asmak is set to launch a state-of-the-art processing and distribution facility in Dubai Industrial City, at a total capital cost of Dhs 125 million. The facility is set to be operational in the second quarter of 2019 and will enable Asmak to produce and trade 40,000 tons of seafood annually.
