Riyadh: Saudi general public reserves went down by 1.2% month-on-month, 14.4% year-on-year, during October 2019, according to the monthly bulletin by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

The kingdom’s general reserves amounted to SAR 490.06 billion in October, versus SAR 496.04 billion in September, and SAR 572.55 billion in the comparative period of 2018.

The government current account declined by 19.89% YoY to SAR 47.59 billion last month, from SAR 59.4 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.

On a monthly basis, Saudi current account levelled down by 32.67% in October, compared to SAR 70.68 billion in September, SAMA’s data showed.
