The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced 150 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. This brings the total number of cases in the UAE to 814.

The new cases identified are in a stable condition and receiving treatment, according to the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention.

The ministry also announced that a 62-year old Asian expat and a 78-year old GCC national who tested positive for COVID-19 died due to complications related to chronic diseases. This brings death toll to eight in the country.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.
