Muscat: The Public Authority for Social Insurance has started receiving applications from Omani beneficiaries for distribution of funds as part of the job security system.

The authority will continue to receive applications until December 31, 2021, while the date of disbursement of funds is the end of each month.

In a statement, PASI said: "The initiative includes a monthly subsidy amounting to OMR202,500 for a period of six months to the insured Omanis who are self-employed and the like, those working abroad and the like, whose services have been terminated for reasons beyond their control and from the Omanis working in the GCC countries."

"The authority would like to clarify that the initiative to pay a monthly subsidy cut from the job security system in the amount of OMR 202,500 for a period of 6 months for Omani self-employed workers insured with the General Authority for Social Insurance includes all owners of small and medium enterprises insured with the General Authority for Social Insurance," the Authority of SMEs development clarified.
