Kuwait –  The Kuwaiti trade surplus with Japan increased 20% year-on-year in 2018, recording $5.5 billion.

Last year, Kuwait’s exports to Japan went up 20.7% to $7.3 billion, compared to $6.1 billion a year earlier, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Meanwhile, the GCC country’s imports from Japan grew 22.9% year-on-year in the full-year 2018, reaching $1.7 billion.

Japan’s registered a $10.9 billion trade deficit during 2018, in contrast to a trade surplus of $26.5 billion in the year before.
