ArabFinance: Egypt opened a humanitarian air bridge to Sudan in response to the current crisis caused by flash flooding, according to a September 7thstatement.

The North African country sent two new military aircraft carrying food and medical supplies, as well as rain-resistant tents, to the airports of Khartoum and Juba.

Egypt’s armed forces sent additional emergency aid to Sudan a day earlier.

Last month, the Arab republic shipped 14 tons of medical supplies to help Sudan counter the impact of floods, which firs started in late July.
