Saudi-based Bahri continues operations, takes safety measures

Bahri, a Saudi provider of logistics and transportation services, has announced that its operations will continue without disruption despite the current global situation and that the company has taken all the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its employees at its offices and onboard vessels.

Bahri’s offices in Saudi Arabia and around the world are operating as normal, and all of its liners are running according to their schedule to continue servicing the company’s both local and international customers.

Abdullah Aldubaikhi, CEO of Bahri, said: “Despite the global situation, we are continuing to operate our offices and vessels to deliver on our commitment to our customers around the world. We also have robust business continuity plans to ensure that they receive the highest quality service without disruption.”

The health and safety of our employees are of paramount importance to us. We have put in place many measures to prevent and mitigate infection and transmission of COVID-19. We will continue to closely monitor the situation to make necessary adjustments to our operations if required and safeguard the welfare of our people.”

In addition to implementing infection prevention and control measures such as deep cleaning and disinfection of office premises, Bahri launched internal and social media campaigns to raise awareness of the coronavirus outbreak and recommended measures and procedures among its employees.

The company has launched several initiatives to reinforce a culture of safety across the organization and is also working toward securing ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety (OHS) management systems certification.
