Saudi cement sales rise 24% in November

Cement production rose last month by 22% YoY to 4.3 million tons

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi cement companies recorded a 23.8% year-on-year (YoY) growth in sales volumes during November 2019, according to a report by Yamama Cement company.

The company’s monthly report showed that the sales of 17 cement companies in Saudi Arabia amounted to 4.27 million tons in November, compared with 3.45 million tons in November 2018.

Cement production rose last month by 22% YoY to 4.3 million tons, compared with 3.54 million tons for the same period last year.

Meanwhile, inventories marginally grew to 1.22 million tons, up from 1.18 million in November 2018, rising by 3.8% YoY.

During November, the Southern Province Cement Company recorded the highest sales volume among the sector, with 613,000 tons, followed by Saudi Cement Company and Yanbu Cement with 490,000 tons.
