RIYADH - Saudi custom authorities instructed land border crossings to allow entry of trucks coming from neighboring Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries loaded with goods destined for the Kingdom.

The authorities, in a statement Monday, said officials at the border crossings would be examining trucks' drivers in case they may have coronavirus symptoms.

The custom authorities said they had applied a series of regulations on movement of trucks at border crossings amidst spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The regulations, they said, included change of drivers or truck heads when transporting supplies with exception of food, medicine, medical supplies and relief aid. (end) mdm.bs
