Oman's Commerce Ministry launches new e-services package

To provide a greater number of electronic services to facilitate procedures and reduce time

  

Muscat: In order to facilitate procedures and provide quick and balanced solutions, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Investment Promotion has launched a new package of electronic services.

The new e-services include issue of conformity certificate permits through the Invest Easy portal for vehicles and motorcycles, automobile and motorcycle tyres, low voltage electrical appliances and equipment, energy efficiency card for air conditioners and children's games.

Khamis Al Farsi, Director General of Specifications and Metrology at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion said: “We seek, in cooperation with our partners, to provide a greater number of electronic services to facilitate procedures and reduce time and effort for the beneficiaries of the service and to provide the service faster and accurately."

He added: "With the launch of this service, requests will be received electronically by attaching the required documents, which contributes positively to the speed of completion of the transaction and its clearance in a limited time not exceeding two working days, and thus aid the release of shipments."
