Kuwait Agro, in collaboration with Qurtoba Coop and the US Embassy, has inaugurated “The American Truck”, a new shop-in-shop concept which highlights American-made products.

Chargé d’Affaires at the American Embassy in Kuwait Larry Memmott, Kuwait Agro CEO Makram Malaeb, Qurtoba Coop Management and members of the Kuwait community opened the store to the Kuwaiti public.

Following the inauguration, attendees toured the store, and Malaeb highlighted the vast range of American products.
Malaeb said: “The vision is to implement this concept across Mass Retailers in Kuwait. We strongly believe in the quality and reliability of US products and take pride in promoting them in Kuwait and the region.”

Memmott said: “Every year, many Kuwaitis journey to the United States to study at our world-class educational institutions or visit our incredible tourist destinations. They return with a taste for their favorite American products. The American Truck will showcase more than 400 US food and consumer products, providing customers with an opportunity to enjoy these unique products in Kuwait.”

Nasser Al Basri, Chairman of Qurtoba Coop said: “It’s a great honour to host you today in this quite important venture. We are a leading Coop, always targeting the best innovations in the country, hence we’re proud to be the first Coop to launch The American Truck. Our customers always seek high quality and unique products; so we have launched this venture without a second thought. On behalf of the Coop Board and Management, I want to thank the US Embassy for their presence today and our close partner Kuwait Agro for creating this marvellous concept and choosing Qurtoba Coop to launch it.”
