MANAMA: HSBC is launching wealth management products and services in Bahrain this week.

The plan was revealed exclusively to the GDN last month.

Describing the launch as part of HSBC’s ongoing growth and investment ambitions in the country, Shakofa Asghar, the bank’s head of wealth and personal banking in Bahrain, said: “The past year once again confirmed the importance of managing personal wealth. We have listened to our customers’ requests to offer an extensive selection of wealth products to help them plan for a better future.”

HSBC says the wealth management products offering aims to enable its customers to “grow their wealth, protect their loved ones, educate their children and to plan for retirement.”

The options available range from fixed bonds, mutual funds, insurance and investments.

“Our global expertise connects our customers to global investment opportunities. Our wealth relationship managers use a goal-based approach to create a financial plan suitable for individual customers’ needs,” said Ms Asghar.
