The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday reported 365 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 115 recoveries.

Two deaths were also reported.

More than six million Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the country so far.

Meanwhile, a remote emergency control center using CCTV cameras has been rolled out in Abu Dhabi to monitor businesses and shoppers violating Covid-19 guidelines, including failure to maintain social distancing. The Department of Economic Development - Abu Dhabi has announced that the Smart Emergency and Control Room has been launched for remote inspection and monitoring of economic establishments in cooperation with the Monitoring and Control Center in order to ensure that all stores and shoppers in different markets within the capital are implementing and following all Covid-19 rules and regulations issued by ADDED for conducting business.

Authorities in the emirate have also issued a new circular allowing owners of cinemas inside shopping malls across Abu Dhabi to resume operations and open their doors to the public provided they comply to the precautionary measures being implemented to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Covid-19 negative test report needed to depart from these UAE airports

Passengers departing from the Abu Dhabi International Airport and Sharjah International Airport must produce a Covid-19 negative test result prior to their departure, Khaleej Times has learnt. Sharjah Airport has sent a notification to its travel partners, a copy of which Khaleej Times has seen, that said, "As per the directives received from UAE Ministry of Health, with immediate effect, all passengers departing from Sharjah Airport are required to have Covid-19 negative PCR test with a validity of not more than 48 hours from the time of departure." It added, "Airlines are required to collect the negative PCR test report at the check-in counter." Khaleej Times made several calls to the Sharjah Airport to verify the notice, and call centre agents confirmed the test has now been made mandatory. The notice has been issued to all airlines, according to the call centre official.
