Dubai, UAE – TECOM Group, a member of Dubai Holding, marked the 47th UAE National Day across its 11 business communities, convening citizens and residents to celebrate the spirit of the union and shining a spotlight on the country’s cultural heritage and achievements. The communities hosted unique ceremonies with traditional parades, flag hoisting, entertainment and renditions of the UAE national anthem.

Dubai Media City, Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai Internet City led the activations within their community with spectacular celebrations of this important national milestone.

As the nation marks the Year of Zayed, the National Day festivities brought together partners, stakeholders, community members as well as students to soak in the traditional experience with a colourful agenda of heritage-focused programmes. The event featured cultural kiosks with henna painting, live cooking stations, a modern calligraphy corner, and a special wall conveying a unanimous message of gratitude that allowed people to express their love and loyalty to the leaders of the country.

Community members also witnessed Middle Eastern folk dances, music performances and poetry recitations while enjoying authentic Emirati delicacies courtesy of the wide selection of food trucks present at the venues.

Dubai Design District this year dedicated a platform for talented students to showcase their creative skills in the fields of music, dance and entertainment, along with professional rebab musicians and traditional Emirati crafts.

Other business communities, such as Dubai Industrial Park, Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Outsource City, also joined the celebrations, evoking the patriotic spirit and cultural values across all community members.

Majed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City and Dubai Production City, said: “The 47th UAE National Day reinforces the commitment of our country’s leadership to continuing our journey of development towards ensuring even greater accomplishments in the years to come.
