• Company inks collaboration agreements with Etisalat, Mazoon Dairy Company
  • Sage Foundation donates AED120,000 to local charities

Dubai-UAE: Sage, the market leader in cloud business management solutions, concluded a successful participation in the 38th edition of GITEX Technology Week, the largest technology exhibition and conference in the Middle East. Highlights included the signing of landmark partnership agreements with telecommunications company Etisalat and Mazoon Dairy Company, Oman’s flagship dairy project.

As part of the conference programme, Sage experts also delivered talks on business management topics, including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance and value-added tax (VAT). In addition, Sage Foundation awarded grants valued at AED120,787 to three UAE-based charities.

Sam Tayan, Managing Director of Sage Middle East, said: “GITEX Technology Week provided us with the opportunity to showcase the benefits of Sage Business Cloud solutions to new and existing customers and partners, and helped us better understand their needs. Our fully scalable platform evolves with businesses as they grow. The phenomenal turnout at this year’s exhibition indicates the positive business momentum and growth across the Middle East, which we are eager to support and benefit from.”

As part of the partnership with Sage, Etisalat’s small and medium business (SMB) customers can now subscribe to Sage Business Cloud Accounting, accredited by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) since March 2018. The flexible cloud accounting solution helps companies effectively manage their finances and cash flow through offering easy control of their business and data at any place and any time. It also enables collaboration among colleagues and accountants to share the workload and automate processes wherever possible with the aim of improving efficiency and reducing admin tasks.

Applying its business cloud management solutions to farming technologies, Sage partnered with Mazoon Dairy Company to spearhead the company’s digital transformation. Through leveraging the functional Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management solution for its software needs, Mazoon Dairy Company seeks to establish Oman as a net exporter of dairy products in the next 20 years and improve the country’s food security in line with the Oman 2040 national blueprint.

Meanwhile, Sage Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sage, awarded grants valued at AED120,787 as part of the Big Give Live, a social impact initiative that provides non-profits with access to human and financial capital. The first of the three participating non-profit organisations was The Citizens Foundation, a Pakistan-based network of independently run schools with 220,000 students, 48 per cent of whom are girls. The second was Al Noor Training Centre that provides quality care and training for around 200 children of determination from 25 nationalities and operates under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The last beneficiary was Manzil, a centre for students with cognitive disabilities from the age of four years, inaugurated by Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Vice President of the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.

Sage also celebrated the achievements of its partners and alliances at the FY18 Partner Awards, a programme designed to reward outstanding performance. The company recognised Etisalat and RAK Bank as the Strategic Partners, while Virtuzone received the title of Alliance Partner and PKF the Best Advisor. Secoia was named the Growth Partner of the Year for SMB, SYSTRONICS became the Top Partner of the Year and Abacus IT Solutions the Growth Partner of the Year in the Enterprise category. Aritmos won the double accolade of the Top Partner of the Year and Independent Sofware Vendor of the Year, while United Business Applications was acknowledged as the Implementation Partner of the Year. Sage also recognised Triad Software as the Top Customer Retention Partner and Varselor General Trading as the Rookie of The Year.

Overall, more than 2,500 visitors to GITEX experienced Sage Business Cloud, a powerful set of cloud products spanning business accounting, advanced financial management and industry-specific enterprise management software. The platform evolves with customers as they grow, providing solutions for businesses of all sizes – from startups to large global enterprises.
