New GITEX Shopper features including the Xperience Zone and Shopper Games expected to wow more than 100,000 visitors over five days 

Dubai, UAE : His Excellency Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, officially inaugurated this year’s GITEX Shopper - the region’s largest consumer electronics shopping spectacular – at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) today.

Touring the 15,000 square meter show, which runs at DWTC’s Za’abeel Halls 4-6 until 11pm on Saturday 6 October, His Excellency Majid Saif Al Ghurair was joined by His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA) and Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and other senior dignitaries.

Staying true to its 28-year legacy of offering a unique value proposition to visitors, GITEX Shopper 2018 houses all of the UAE’s power retailers in an accessible city centre location, with a value bonanza of unbeatable deals on gadgets and bumper bundles that cannot be found anywhere else on electronic products including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, wearable technology, cameras and games. More than 100,000 shoppers, technology enthusiasts and bargain hunters are expected to descend on the five-day consumer electronics showcase which runs through 6th October.

GITEX Shopper retailers include Axion, Emax, Jacky’s, Jumbo, and SharafDG, representing brands such as, Apple, Asus, Alienware, Dell, Hitachi, HTC, OPPO, Samsung, and many other leading technology brands. Huawei, Honor, MSI, Nikon and XTouch each have a significant presence on the show floor, with Huawei joining as GITEX Shopper’s Official Technology Partner and showcasing the world’s first Full View display laptop – the Huawei MateBook X Pro - for the first time in the UAE.

GITEX Shopper 2018 is open daily from 11am - 11pm. Tickets are priced at only AED 20, a reduction on last year. Students enter for AED10. Entry is free for children below the age of five.
