NICO International, well-known UAE based marine and industrial engineering company operating over 44 years entered in to a Territorial Partnership Agreement with Dragon Marine Service Co. Ltd.– a Turkey based marine company providing services to the International shipping industry since 2004. The agreement aims to cover the Turkey region for the complete marine & industrial engineering services offered by NICO International.
With the new alliance in place, NICO aims to further strengthen capabilities in the field of the marine & industrial engineering market in the Turkey region with the expertise of Dragon Marine Services Co. who will be representing NICO International for its complete range of marine & industrial engineering services as the local partner.

2017 has seen a healthy business trend for NICO International. The company has enjoyed significant success, buoyed by continued support from key clients such as Maersk Line, US Navy Vessels, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, MOL Tankship, UAE Coast Guard, Dubai Dry Docks, Zakher Marine, Zamil Offshore, Emirates Steel Industries, DUGAS, DUBAL, Ansaldo, FAPCO, GE etc. among many others.
More than 3,500 individual afloat repair jobs been completed on board various vessels during the course of the year. As many as 150 riding squads were deputed at any given time for various ship owners. Additionally, NICO successfully completed over 57 drydocking jobs from its operational location in Dubai & Fujairah. Similar trend been observed for the industrial shutdown jobs. Completed several major industrial shutdown jobs with notable clients over the past year and several in the pipeline for 2018.
“It is a wide spectrum of activities that we engage in – we do not want to leave any market out of our plans,” Mr Kumar says. “Our focus going forward is to expand more into industrial sector. Last year we facilitated major power plant shutdowns with 100% success rate – the same core skillsets of time management and strong work ethics are easily translated from the marine sector to other sector, and the equipment is similar too. Additionally, NICO International’s staff are accustomed to strict timeframes – shutdown operations incur severe penalties for a company if exceeded, but our experience allows the company’s staff to operate well within this environment.”
