Younis Haji Al Khoori stressed the importance of strong cooperation between government entities in order to optimise performance.

Abu Dhabi: In a bid to optimize government entities’ performance, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) received a delegation from the Ministry of Defence to review the second edition of the electronic system "Injaz" for strategic planning and monitoring purposes, and to identify the systems’ various offerings including the reports on the strategic and operational plans.

The meeting was attended by HE Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of MoF, and the delegation of the Ministry of Defence headed by Brigadier General Eng. Khamis Jumaa Al Shamsi, Head of Audit and Performance Division, and HE Sheikha Khalifa Bin Za'al, Director of Strategic and Future Management.

HE Younis Haji Al Khoori stressed the importance of these meetings to strengthen cooperation and the exchange of knowledge between different ministries and government entities in the areas of strategy design and implementation, and monitoring of performance indicators, in order to ensure optimum performance and achieve the desired goals.

HE Al Khoori said: “The use of Injaz has garnered a number of positive results, most notably the improvement of confidentiality, reliability and credibility of input and output when developing, monitoring and evaluating plans. It also helps the Ministry in developing strategic and operational plans and budgets, setting and monitoring strategic objectives, operational plans and the initiatives included within, alongside activities in coordination with departments and related work teams.”

The second version of ‘Injaz’ provides automatic and easy reporting and statistics, and comparisons between results and statistics, with an easy way to archive and retrieve plans. The system also assesses the performance of teams in achieving the operational plans, and the performance of each of the individuals, departments and sectors, by reviewing the progress of work and the percentage of achievement.

During the meeting, MoF provided an overview of Injaz, demonstrating the process of developing and approving strategic, operational, and action plans, as well as the process of adjusting and auditing them. The Ministry also reviewed the various types of reports and alerts provided by the software, including activity and task reports, results and performance indicators, change and risk management reports, and linking the budget to reports on the achievement of the strategic plan.
