Amman, July10 (Petra) - The Ministry of Tourism has introduced a package of measures and incentives to promote and facilitate tourism to the Kingdom from Gulf Arab states, according to the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB).

JTB Director General Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat said Sunday that the government carried out periodic reviews of rules and regulations to prop up the tourism industry.

Among the facilities, he said, is the smooth entry and reception for Arab visitors and their domestic helpers.

JTB has also launched tourism campaigns seeking to encourage Gulf tourists to spend their summer holidays in the Kingdom, he added.

The campaign, he explained, includes adverts, commercials and workshops featuring Jordan's attractions, landmarks and historical sites, as well as promoting cultural activities, namely the Jerash Festival and the Citadel Nights in Amman.

Also among the measures is lower prices of goods at shopping centers, he said, stressing that the ministry is keen to address all obstacles facing the sector.
