Prizes given as part of Etihad’s sensational 50,000 prize giveaway in celebration of the UAE’s 50th Anniversary

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has embarked on an extraordinary gift giving campaign this Ramadan. The promotion is part of Etihad’s commitment which was unveiled last week, to give away 50,000 prizes throughout the year in celebration of the UAE’s 50th anniversary.

Etihad is marking the occasion by giving three lucky winners 50 times their flight fare in Etihad Credit. Etihad Credit can be used to pay for flights, upgrades and extras any time within two years.

That means, if a guest buys a ticket for AED 1,000 during Etihad’s Ramadan Sale, they could win AED 50,000 to spend on flights in the future. To win, travellers need to book a flight between 20 April and 12 May from Abu Dhabi to any destination on Etihad’s worldwide network and fly before 31 December 2021. Visit etihad.com for full terms and conditions.

There will also be three separate winners who book using Etihad Guest Miles. To enter the draw, travellers need to be a member of Etihad Guest to be able to receive and use Etihad Credit and Etihad Guest Miles. In another initiative, Etihad is launching a gift giving campaign this Ramadan. To surprise and delight guests, Etihad is giving away 1,000 Ramadan boxes across its flight network over the holy month of Ramadan. The boxes contain a gift for the recipient and also encourage the spirit of ‘paying it forward’ by including a gift for them to pass on to someone else.

Gifts range from Economy flight tickets, upgrades to Business class, Etihad Guest Silver and Gold membership, Etihad Guest Miles and more. As well as being handed out by Etihad’s cabin crew inflight, boxes will be distributed to surprise guests at airport check-in counters and the Etihad Lounge.

Flying to, from, and via Abu Dhabi is supported by the airline’s fully redesigned sanitisation and safety programme, Etihad Wellness, which ensures the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at every stage of the customer journey.

This includes specially trained Wellness Ambassadors, a first in the industry, who have been introduced by the airline to provide essential travel health information and care on the ground and on every flight, so guests can fly with greater ease and confidence. All passengers travelling with Etihad receive complimentary COVID-19 insurance, which was recently extended until 30 September 2021.

To give guests peace of mind and to offer an extra level of reassurance to travel, Etihad is the only airline in the world requiring 100% of its passengers to show a negative PCR test before departure, and on arrival in Abu Dhabi. The airline was also the first in the world to announce that its cabin crew and pilots on board are vaccinated.
