Abu Dhabi: UNB is participating in the 20th National Career Exhibition, in an effort to empower UAE Nationals, encourage the young talent and give them the opportunity to embark on a successful employment journey. The objective is to reinforce the banking sector in the UAE and to contribute towards preparing for the future of the financial sector in the country. The event is being held from 7 to 9 February 2018 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
Mr. Ali Khaled Alhashmi, Senior Vice President & Head of Human Resources & Centre of Excellence Group at UNB highlighted the importance of UNB’s participation in this pioneering career event for the strategic role it plays in offering employment opportunities for Emirati graduates, and placing them in the public and private sectors. “Our aim to support the achievement of the UAE’s strategic plan in establishing a knowledge-based economy as we empower the local talent pool. Our contribution comes in line with our innovation umbrella, which brings a first-of-its-kind recruitment solutions to engage new talent, provide instant interviews followed by immediate hiring for successful candidates at the 20th National Career Exhibition.”

UNB will host a virtual career fair, where participants will have the opportunity of live interview with a dedicated HR representative for a full-time role, which might lead to hiring on the spot the successful talent”, he continued.
“UNB is also offering instant resume evaluation by experts to help candidates enrich their profiles, complemented by access to a library of free CV templates, carefully crafted by HR specialists. This will be paired with exclusive and free access to download the e-book/audio book ‘Understanding in the Workplace’ featuring secrets to a successful career as well as a list of tips that can be accessed and shared online”, concluded Mr. Ali.
The National Career Exhibition is an integral part of the UAE government’s initiatives to successfully integrate national manpower into the country’s workforce. By bringing together leading public and private establishments in the country at a single place, the exhibition provides thousands of job and training opportunities for Emirati youth.
The National Career Exhibition has played a strategic role in facilitating the employment of Emirati graduates in the past 19 years and is a reliable platform for Emirati youth, providing opportunities to suit their education and skills and introducing them to opportunities in the work market.
