Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Valeo have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up two centres in the North African nation to provide technical support services to Valeo’s clients around the world.

Under the MoU, Valeo will build a smart shared service centre which will adopt the strategy for the digitisation of its after-sales services for its customers, Valeo Egypt’s general manager Wael Abouelmaaty said in a statement released by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on Wednesday.

In addition, Valeo will also set up another global shared services centre to serve information systems operations at Valeo France which provides development services for embedded software of automotive industry in more than 30 countries.

The centre’s work scope includes “Big Data operations, automating operations, developing and integrating institutional resources planning units, developing Google Cloud Platform applications, business intelligence, Research and Development (R&D) services, as well as other ICT infrastructure related services,” the statement added.

Valeo Egypt is the largest software development centre in the North African nation.
