Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Under the patronage of DP World’s subsidiary P&O Marinas and initiated and co-organised by Fabulous Yachts, the next edition of The International Superyacht Summit is scheduled to be held on December 8 and 9, 2021 onboard the iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2).

This year’s edition will unite key players from the superyacht industry, including top-tier superyacht marinas developers, superyacht builders, experts, and enthusiasts. Discussions on a variety of pertinent subjects will be held to shed light on the impact of superyacht marina developments in lifestyle and tourism, and the emerging trends in the GCC and the world over. Experts will also share insights on the growth of the superyacht industry in the UAE and the Middle East and talk about the role of technology and sustainability in revolutionising this sector.

Hamza Mustafa, Chief Operating Officer, P&O Marinas said: "The International Superyacht Summit is a much-awaited event not only for enthusiasts in the UAE but those from around the globe. We are thrilled to announce our 2021 edition that will reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading superyacht destination. By joining forces with Fabulous Yachts, who have been our partners for the past two summits, we hope to build on our achievements and continue our mission to promote the region as a superyacht and luxury tourist destination.”

Mustafa adds, “According to the Global Yacht Industry Market Report, the global market for the yacht industry is projected to reach USD84.7 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 4.1 per cent during this period. Assessing these figures, we foresee a cascade effect on the superyacht industry too. We are certain that the summit will aid this growth by educating and informing the industry about the latest developments and the roadblocks, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Capt. Tony Crabbe, CEO of Fabulous Yachts added: “I would very much like to thank our sponsors who have stood with us throughout, secure in the knowledge that this important summit would take place once conditions allowed it to go ahead safely.”

The two-day summit will feature enlightening sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities for all attendees. The detailed agenda will soon be announced on the summit’s official website.
