Muscat: In recognition of its efforts to offer innovative digital products and services, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has been awarded Best Mobile Banking App Oman 2019 by International Business Magazine. This is another accolade the bank has received to date for its pioneering mobile app, which offers customers a range of banking services at the touch of a button. Developed in-house, the app has quickly become the bank’s most popular digital service, combining versatility, reliability, and convenience with security features such as Biometric log-in via face recognition or fingerprint, and MPIN.

The judging panel, made up of subject matter experts and research analysts, examines hundreds of nominees with a range of criteria including innovation and performance.

Both NBO customers and non-NBO customers can benefit from the integrated platform that provides a reliable, convenient and seamless banking experience. The app allows users to complete a variety of banking transactions including opening accounts, paying utility and credit card bills, making local and international transfers, in addition to instant transfers, branch & ATM locater, and the ability to apply for products and services such as Badeel (Prepaid Cards) & Easy Payment Plan (EPP). The app is also fitted with a geolocation functionality giving customers real time notifications of special discounts and offers for cardholders (Marketplace). By continuously growing its portfolio of digital services, NBO is leading the way in transforming the digital landscape of the country.
