Muscat: Building on its portfolio of digital and customer-friendly solutions, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has upgraded its mobile wallet to include a host of new features that make digital payments even easier. The upgraded wallet which is available through the bank’s award-winning mobile app to customers of NBO and its Islamic window Muzn, is the latest in a string of initiatives the bank has carried out in support of its digital transformation.

“As a digital leader, NBO has always aimed to promote easy and affordable payments in the country through a number of innovative financial solutions. It’s not just about bringing out new products and services, but by building on those we already have, to ensure we continue to meet the ever-evolving needs of customers and enhance their overall banking experience with us,” said Abdul Karim Al Hinai, Deputy General Manager - Alternative Channels - Retail Banking.

The NBO Wallet provides users with secure and convenient means to conduct financial transactions. The new features enable customers to make QR based payments from their wallet or account, process transactions below OMR 10 without the use of one-time-password (OTP), support ‘pull and push’ payments, enable transactions between the wallet and bank account, allow customers to raise a dispute, and enable transfers using a mobile number, alias or QR Code, across banks and wallets in Oman at any time.

NBO remains committed to offering digitally-led solutions to empower customers to adapt to today’s changing times. Its popular range of innovative digital products include the Badeel prepaid card, available for both NBO and non-NBO customers, and most recently the pay+ mobile wallet, in collaboration with Ooredoo. Providing a seamless banking experience, its products and services allow customers the freedom to manage their money as part of their lifestyle, through personalised usage settings at the touch of a button.
