Muscat: Muscat Bay, Oman’s award winning resort village, hosts an initiative titled "Achievements and Aspirations of Omani Women", in collaboration with Omani Women Association.

Held on the 7th of January at the Experience Centre, the opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Her Highness Sayyedah Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) for International Cooperation.

The initiative aims to empower women in Oman and help them realise their potential through inspirational talks and insightful discussions. The event was well-received and attracted a considerable number of women who were impressed by the initiative.

The gathering opened with welcoming speeches, which gave a brief overview of the Omani Women Association and its role in serving the community. The presentation also provided an overview of the Muscat Bay Resort and its aesthetic and exceptional services to the guests. The evening included a rich discussion session, led by Ms. Iman Rashed Al Ghafry, the leader of the Omani Women's Association - Sedab branch, with the participation from Ms. Al-Awia, Director of the World Natural Stones Factory and Her Highness Al Sayyada Hujaija Jaifer Al Said, Chairman of Association for the Welfare of the Handicapped Children.

They speakers conversed through six main angles. They gave a brief overview of their achievements, the difficulties they faced, the future visions of their current projects, as well as the suggestions to support the candidate’s women for the coming Shura Council elections. At the end of the dialogue session, the two speakers addressed their message to all Omani women. H.H. Hujaija called women to make their way towards independence and leadership in both social and practical life, while Iman recommended women to maintain self-esteem and self-confidence in order to reach their desired goals.

"All the women of Oman stand today in gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. I am pleased to extend my sincere thanks to Muscat Bay for hosting this wonderful evening. We promise to continue the process of seeking to transform ideas into new values to serve the community,” commented Iman.

"As part of its ongoing quest to encourage and recognize outstanding female figures, Muscat Bay organized the evening to honor Omani women who are dedicated and skilled in various fields,” said Haitham Mohammed Al-Lawati, Sales Manager in Muscat Bay.

“We are proud to have chosen Muscat Bay to host this event. We celebrate the successful women's with passion and enthusiasm and we invite them to look forward,” shared Al-Lawati.

The evening concluded by presenting a souvenir to Her Highness Dr. Mona Fahad Al Said, cutting the cake and then inviting them to dinner. Throughout the year, Muscat Bay offers opportunities for Omani women to develop their talents and to improve their skills.
