Due to the huge influx of visitors, Dubai Safari announced that entry on Monday and Wednesday will be only for families, Dubai Media Office tweeted on Saturday.

Dubai Safari, said to be home to the most diverse array of animals in the country, attracted 14,000 visitors in two days following its soft opening on December 12.

Huge crowds have also been visiting Dubai’s newest attraction following the announcement of two weeks of free entry until December 26. Doors to the Dh1-billion park officially opens in January. The official opening date will be announced by the end of this month.

On Saturday, @DubaiSafariAE tweeted: “Due to popular demand we are happy to announce that Monday 18th of December & Wednesday 20th of December are for families only”.

Residents have rushed to take advantage of the limited period offer of free entry to the 119-hectare park, home to over 2,500 animals of about 250 species.
