Middle East: MG Motor is continuing its rapid expansion across the Middle East with the announcement of its first-ever showroom in Lebanon.  Unity Motor Company has been appointed the British-born brand’s exclusive local distributor, with two new MG showrooms set to open across the country in 2019. The brand’s flagship showroom will be located in the capital, Beirut.

With MG Motor Lebanon coming under the management of Unity Motor Company, customers will be able to access a dedicated team of MG sales and aftersales experts who will deliver the best-in-class customer care that MG owners are accustomed to. This includes MG Motor’s best-in-region manufacturer warranty of six years or 200,000km.

Unity Motor Company will introduce the new MG line-up of SUVs and sedans that will go on sale across several dealerships all over Lebanon.  Unity Motor Company will also be providing an array of services for new and existing customers of the rejuvenated MG brand. As part of its ‘one stop shop’ business model the group will oversee new car sales, servicing and certified pre-owned sales.

Tom Lee, Managing Director at SAIC Motor Middle East, parent company of MG Motor commented: “Lebanon is a dynamic market and a key country for MG Motor. This is our first official entry into the market and we are confident we have found the right partner, whose in-depth knowledge of the automotive sector and successful track record in Lebanon creates a solid platform for the future success of the MG Motor brand. With three exciting new products coming this year we are now, more than ever, in a position to take this new market by storm.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Rabih Rasamny, General Manager of Unity Motor Company commented: “We are very excited to relaunch the legendary MG brand in Lebanon. Many Lebanese still have vivid memories of the brand and its iconic models. With the strong support and backing of SAIC and notably Mr. Tom Lee, as well as the formidable warranty of 200,000Km that MG offers, we are bullish about the MG future’s success in the Lebanese market.”

In line with its plans to become a household name in the region, the two showrooms and service center will offer MG’s customers an efficient and convenient service including a fully-fledged sales and aftersales team.

MG Motor is operating in six Middle East countries; Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The MG line-up includes the bold MG RX5 SUV, the stylish MG ZS crossover, the sporty MG6 sedan, and the competitive MG5 compact sedan. The MG brand enjoyed extraordinary success in 2018 with a significant 453% growth in sales across the entire region.

MG Motor and Unity Motor Company are planning to open five showrooms across Lebanon by 2020.
