Kuwait  - The National Mobile Telecommunications Company’s (Ooredoo) ordinary general meeting (OGM) on Tuesday consented to the board’s proposal to distribute cash dividends of 50 fils per share or 50% of the share’s nominal value for 2019 after deducting treasury shares.

The distributions will be due to the equityholders registered on records of 31 March 2020, while will be paid on 9 April, according to a bourse disclosure.

During its meeting, the shareholders further approved distributing a remuneration worth KWD 538,000 to the board of directors for 2019.

Over 2019, Ooredoo’s net profit grew by 1% year-on-year (YoY) to KWD 30.1 million ($99 million).
