Mubasher: The net profits attributable to the shareholders of Khaleeji Commercial Bank, listed on Bahrain Bourse (BHB) and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), surged to BHD 5.7 million in the first half (H1) of 2020, compared to BHD 199,000 in the year-ago period.

The bank's total income increased to BHD 11.37 million in H1-20 from BHD 10.73 million in H1-19, according to the bank's financial results for the period ended on 30 June 2020.

The bank's total assets rose to BHD 960.813 million as of 30 June 2020 from BHD 939.752 million as of 31 December 2019.

The earnings per share (EPS) settled at 6.521 fils in the first six months of 2020, versus 0.211 fils in the corresponding period of 2019.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, the bank incurred losses of BHD 14.93 million, against a profit worth BHD 658,760 in 2018.
