Iraq is in discussions with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to revive and finance major stalled projects in the country.

Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Planning told Zawya Projects that the discussions were held by Khaled Battal Al-Najm, Minister of Planning, and Abdullah Jafri, the Regional Director of the IFC.

He said the ministry has started work on identifying major projects across the country that have stalled due to paucity of financing, adding that the IFC official confirmed the organisation is ready to finance these projects after studying them.
