Dubai – Mubasher: Nikai Electronics, UAE's homegrown electronics brand, has debuted its operations in Egypt earlier in February as part of its expansion plans for 2020.

With the launch of LED televisions later in February, consumers in the North African nation will be able to experience brand Nikai, according to a statement on Sunday.

The electronics firm’s chairman, Paras Shahdadpuri, said, “We are starting a new era for our company with the production of television units in Egypt. Despite global economic slowdown, it is pleasing to note that the consumer electronics industry has remained steady and I am sure that it will continue to remain strong.”

Shahdadpuri revealed that the company was considering this move for a long time, referring to the high growth prospects offered by the Egyptian economy owing to its high value-based consumer demand.

“The expansion process will continue throughout the year with markets in [Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)] and East Europe being our next destination,” he noted.

Nikai Electronics, which has been one of the top consumer electronic labels in the GCC region for nearly 25 years, has partnered with Raya Trade for the distribution of Nikai range of products across their outlets spread across the most populous Arab nation.

“All Nikai range of products will be backed by the superior advantage of RAYA CARE when it comes to delivering outstanding consumer service,” Nikai’s vice president for sales and strategy, Karthik Moorthy, commented.
