Dubai, UAE: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, has enhanced its e-services by adding a new facility that helps customers to clear off the final dues, settle their account and get the clearance certificate through the website easily without visiting Empower’s office or branches. This is as part of the company’s efforts to achieve the objectives of the Dubai Paperless Strategy and support the Smart Dubai initiative, to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world.

This new facility in Empower’s website provides customers a comfortable experience as it saves their time and effort in completing the final settlement transactions. Customers can request for their final bill and clearance certificate by following a few simple steps. The customer will receive an acknowledgement text message in the registered mobile number and e-mail Id upon placing the request. Once the request is made, Empower will process the same with keeping the customer updated about the status and will provide the final bill or clearance certificate based on the request.

Bin Shafar stressed that Empower works according to its strategy to increase the adoption of smart services and urge customers to complete their transactions through its e- channels. Launching the e-settlement facilty help customers to request their final bill, pay dues, and obtain the clearance certificate, without visiting Empower’s customer centres in addition to the existing E-services. This initiative supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, to achieve the Dubai Paperless Strategy by 2021, that aims to eliminate paper transactions in government departments of Dubai.

Empower offers e-services to its customers to view and pay their bills, refer the payment history, register and track requests, and also view their consumption trends online along with final settlement.

Empower has more than 1,090 buildings that are using district cooling services, catering to more than 100,000 customers. The company operates more than 1.43 Million Refrigeration Tons (RT), providing environmentally friendly district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Bluewaters, Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, amongst others.
