Egyptian Electricity Transmission invests $1.20bln in FY18/19

These investments are the largest since the establishment of the company in 2001

Cairo –Total value of investments by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Co. (EETC) amounted to EGP 19.5 billion during fiscal year 2018/2019, reaching 100.3% of the target, the company’s chairman Sabah Mashaly said.

These investments are the largest since the establishment of the company in 2001, Mashaly added in a statement on Monday.

The chairman revealed that major power generation stations are currently being connected to the new capital, Beni Suef, and El Brolos at a total capacity of about 14,000 megawatt (MW).
