AMMAN, 26th September, 2017 (WAM) -- Jordan has announced that it will receive further Macro-Financial Assistance, MFA, from the European Union, EU, valued at 200 million Euros.

Jordan News Agency quoted Imad Fakhoury, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, as saying that the loan comes as part of commitments made by the EU during the "Supporting Syria and the Region conference" held in London in February 2016.

Fakhoury added that the amount of financial assistance will be transferred to the treasury in two installments, the first of 100 million Euros will be disbursed before the end of 2017, the second payment of 100 million Euros will be disbursed in 2018.
