Dubai-based developer Nakheel on Thursday announced it has awarded a contract worth 165 million UAE dirhams ($45 million) to UAE-based APCC Piling and Contracting to construct six marinas in the Deira Islands master development.

Construction will begin in fourth quarter of 2017 with phased delivery over two years, Nakheel said in a press statement.

The marinas will accommodate a total of 614 boats, and yachts up to 60 metres long, it added.
