Sharjah, UAE: The Sharjah-based Alef Group, a pioneer in developing premier lifestyle communities, destinations and experiences through investment and strategic joint ventures, hosted a student delegation from the College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) of the American University of Sharjah at the Group’s landmark project Al Mamsha.
During the visit, the students were briefed on the latest status of the project, where work is proceeding at full tilt as planned to deliver a landmark mixed-use development in Sharjah that brings together a modern living, retail and leisure in an upscale environment connected with sidewalks and walkways.
Director-General of Alef Group, Issa Ataya, pointed out that the students had a valuable opportunity to learn about the on-going construction processes and the finishing material used in constructing Al Mamsha.
“They had an overview of the key techniques used in the planning and implementation of the project," he added.
Ataya said that the visit featured knowledge-transfer discussions of several important and specialised topics in the engineering field, where Alef Group's officials and engineers supervising Al Mamsha, briefed the students on the technical details of the landmark project.
The visit also included a tour by the students across the several stages of the project, where they had first-hand knowledge of the architectural plans, designs and latest technical standards applied in executing the project. They were also introduced to ready-made models of the AED3 billion project.
Al Mamsha is one of the most innovative projects in the UAE in general, and the emirate of Sharjah in particular, offering its residents on-site underground parking with elevator access to the residential floors, community services and retail offerings making it a car-free and safe community.
Located in what is now touted as "New Sharjah", the first phase of the project consists of 33 buildings that bring together a modern living, retail and leisure in an upscale environment connected with sidewalks and walkways.
Offering an extensive range of residential properties and active retail and leisure districts, Al Mamsha boasts a strategic location at the nexus of Sharjah’s main highways ensuring easy access to major metropolitan areas as well as to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
