• Following the successful launch to India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, QIB adds Jordan to its Direct Remit Service 

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), has announced the expansion of its Direct Remit Service to Jordan as part of its continuous efforts to further enhance its remittance transfer service, offering customers the fastest, most convenient, and secure money transfer experience using the QIB Mobile App.

An innovative service designed to facilitate QIB customers’ remittance experience, the Direct Remit now includes four countries with a plan to expand into more countries worldwide. The Direct Remit service allows customers to transfer money to bank accounts via the QIB Mob App within seconds offering a smooth money transfer experience.

QIB has introduced instant account to account transfer services by directly linking transfer payment services with Housing Bank for Trade and Finance in Jordan. Customers can enjoy real time money transfer to Jordan using Direct Remit service under the QIB Mobile App. By logging into the App, customers can select their desired destination and add the beneficiary they wish to send money to. The submitted transaction can be tracked at any time, from anywhere in the world within 60 seconds and receive instant updates on the status of their transactions via SMS.

QIB has previously partnered with the most prominent banks such as HDFC Bank, BDO Unibank, Habib Bank LTD to link the Direct Remit service with major corridors, namely India, Pakistan, and Philippines. For Jordan, QIB is collaborating with Housing Bank for Trade Finance (HBTF), a large and technologically advanced Bank, which holds a network of 130 Branches and 234 ATMs in Jordan as well as in other parts of the world.

QIB has adopted the advanced mechanism of direct host to host integration with major banks, reducing the transfer time to seconds and offering a 27 / 7 service for their customers.

Available on App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery, customers can download the App and easily self-register using their active ATM/Debit Card number and PIN. The QIB Mobile App offers customers the ability to have full control of their accounts, cards, and transactions and to fulfill all their banking requirements remotely. In addition, QIB customers can open a new account, apply for personal financing, a Credit Card, or open additional accounts via the QIB Mobile App.
