Dubai, United Arab Emirates - In order to spread a strong real estate culture among viewers in the Arab world, Dubai Land Department (DLD) and MBC Group have jointly announced the launch of ‘Mohemma Akaria’ (Real Estate Mission). The TV programme will attract new real estate investment into Dubai and the GCC by highlighting the unique features that make Dubai and the wider region an attractive environment for property investors.

Speaking during a press conference held at the Hotel Rixos Palm Jumeirah, His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren — Director General of DLD — commented: "As the governmental entity responsible for regulating and promoting Dubai’s real estate sector while also spreading knowledge and a strong real estate culture, DLD is pleased to working in partnership with a leading media group like MBC. Our partnership will help us to strengthen our promotion efforts, attract more investors, and consolidate real estate awareness across the region.”

Ali Jaber, Group TV Director of MBC Group, added: "We look forward to this pioneering television experience, which is the result of a strategic partnership with Dubai Land Department. This programme is the first of its kind in the region and features a unique combination of entertainment and education; we are confident that it will drive real estate investment in Dubai and across the GCC.”

‘Mohemma Akaria’ is a unique programme in the Middle East in terms of its concept, content and implementation. It moves from celebrity to family homes and from Dubai and the UAE to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the rest of the Gulf and the Arab world. Through its weekly episodes, the programme tells the stories of residents, the secrets of the real estate market, and the significance of investment, without forgetting the all-important human element. The programme reflects several of Dubai’s lofty objectives, the most important of which is ‘happiness’.

The programme will air on MBC1 every Saturday at 7:30pm UAE time, presented by the real estate expert Mohanad Al Wadiya. In each episode, Al Wadiya will search for the right property at the right time and place, spreading real estate awareness and sharing DLD’s key messages with all segments of the society to promote Dubai as a leading destination for innovation, trust and happiness.

‘Mohemma Akaria’ includes 15 episodes and will start on 17th February, concluding before the holy month of Ramadan. The programme, produced by One Way Ticket Production, has received a number of sponsors since Dubai Land Department announced its launch, including Azizi Developers, Binghatti Developers, Tamleek Real Estate Registration Trustee, and Danube Company as a strategic sponsor.
