Dubai, UAE: Top leaders from Asia and around the world will convene virtually at the Eighth ABLF Talks Virtual Conclave of 2021 on August 10, 2021. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, UAE and in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy, the monthly leadership series, that brings together the most prominent voices of Asia in dynamic dialogues focusing on post-pandemic socio-economic recovery, will be held at the cutting-edge virtual venue, the ABLF City, developed by SMART IEDEA.

H.E. Namal Rajapaksa, Minister of Youth & Sports, State Minister of Digital Technology & Enterprise Development, Sri Lanka

As Minister of Youth and Sports, H.E. Namal Rajapaksa has initiated several measures to make Sri Lanka an active sporting nation and empower its youth through initiatives focused on driving FDI and increasing job opportunities. He will discuss strategies to leverage youth capital to realise the potential of an economy still recovering from the effects of COVID-19.

H.E. Lyonpo Loknath Sharma, Minister of Economic Affairs, Bhutan

H.E. Lyonpo Loknath Sharma has actively advocated for regional connectivity and trade flows within the Himalayan Kingdom. His session will throw light on economic diversification, job creation and export enhancement to accelerate growth and create dynamic market opportunities for Bhutan.

Sumanta Roy, Vice President & Regional Head - Middle East, Africa, and the Mediterranean, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

One of the top leaders of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Sumanta Roy has a total of 28 years of work experience across several geographies and industries of TCS. Roy’s session will discuss the biggest challenges to sustainable development and how enterprises can remain competitively agile while responding to disruption and uncertainty.

Sindhu Gangadharan, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, SAP Labs India

One of the most dynamic tech icons in India and a prominent voice for female empowerment in the corporate world, Sindhu Gangadharan is the first woman to head SAP Labs India. At her session, she will elaborate on how SAP leveraged its superior technology to counter issues brought about by COVID-19 while accelerating growth.

David Goldsmith, President and Co-Founder, Goldsmith Organization, USA

The noted entrepreneur, consultant and author will spotlight strategies that countries can adopt to accelerate inclusive development and ensure sustainable growth for its citizens. David Goldsmith’s session will address the urgent socio-economic issues facing the world and seek ways to reignite global attention on the objectives enshrined in the UN SDGs. 

Alex von Tunzelmann, Historian & Author

Eminent British historian Alex von Tunzelmann will discuss her latest novel Fallen Idols: Twelve Statues That Made History. The book, a hugely informative read, is a nuanced and constructive appraisal of the current issues facing many countries through the statutes of iconic leaders whose legacy is either admired or despised.
