Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, continues to cater to the needs of its passengers that are stranded due to current closure in Turkey as a result of recent snow storms that affected air traffic to and from Turkey recently.

The national carrier confirms taking all measures to accommodate passengers in Istanbul International Airport and Tekirdağ Çorlu Airport that the airline flight was diverted to, as well as providing them with meals and transportation and other needs; which proved challenging given road blocks caused by the current poor weather conditions in Turkey.

Gulf Air continues to work closely with related Turkish authorities to bring an end to this unfortunate situation through obtaining related permits to operate special flights that will return passengers back to Bahrain; and in line with its continuous commitment to take passengers to their final destinations.

The airline reaffirms its commitment to the safety of its passengers and crew as a top priority, and urges the media and everyone else to obtain news from its credible sources and disregard any here-say that can negatively affect the situation.
