DUBAI: The top management of the King’s College Hospital Dubai met with H.E. Shamma bint Suhail Faris al-Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairperson of the Federal Youth Authority, to greet her on the occasion of the Emirati Woman Day, which marks the anniversary of the creation of the UAE General Women’s Union in 1975.

The CEO the King’s College Hospital Dubai Christian Schuhmacher, who led the delegation to the meeting, noted that the UAE takes pride in H.E. Minister al-Mazrui, who at 23 years old  in February 2016 when she was appointed in the new cabinet, became the youngest government minister in the world.

H.E al-Mazrui holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from New York University Abu Dhabi, and a Masters Degree of Public Policy with distinction from the University of Oxford, where she also became the first Rhodes scholar from the UAE.

First celebrated in 2015, the Emirati Women’s Day is an annual event held on August 28th to celebrate inspiring Emirati women, supported by the government and welcomed by the community.
