Supporting expansion with a flight range of 5 to 6 hours

Kuwait: Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost airline, operating regionally and internationally, took delivery of its second Airbus A320neo aircraft which landed at Kuwait International Airport on the evening of Friday, October 18.

The fuel-saving and quieter engine aircraft is fitted with the airline’s new three-cabin configuration, comprising of the airline’s signature Business Class and Economy Class, and its new Premium Economy Class available for London flights.

Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer, Rohit Ramachandran, said: “We are pleased to welcome our second A320neo to our growing fleet as we look forward to serving our expanding network of destinations that are located 5 to 6 hours away from Kuwait. The new single-aisle aircraft allows for an increased range while improving performance and cost savings, and will take off commercially with our first flight to London on October 27.”

The A320neo incorporates the CFM LEAP-1A engines and fuel-saving wingtip devices known as Sharklets. It offers savings in fuel burn, additional payload, increased range, lower operating costs and significant reduction in engine noise and CO2 emissions below the current industry standard.

With the new configuration, flights to and from London will have a Business Class that offers passengers a 33-inch seat pitch, 50 kilograms in baggage allowance, priority boarding and a complimentary inflight hot meal. This is complemented with a Premium Economy Class that is exclusively available on the flight to and from London with 40 kilograms in baggage allowance, additional legroom with a 31-inch seat pitch, a middle seat that is kept free, dedicated check-in counters, priority boarding and a complimentary inflight hot meal, while the Economy Class offers a 29/30-inch seat pitch and a wide choice of meals from the Jazeera Café menu.

Jazeera Airways operates a fleet of ten Airbus aircraft, eight of the A320 model and two of the A320neo model.
