Dubai- United Arab Emirates: Under the theme “Bringing Healthcare Communities Together” the first edition of “Healthcare Future Summit” was inaugurated virtually earlier today by His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, in the presence of the field’s most prominent names.
The opening ceremony, which was streamed live from the Dubai Health Authority headquarters, witnessed the attendance of Dr. Ramadan Alblooshi, Head of the Scientific Committee and Chief Regulatory Officer at Dubai Healthcare City Authority- Regulatory, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of “Healthcare Future Summit” and Chairman of INDEX Holding, in addition to His Excellency Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of Public Health Policy & Licensing Sector at the Ministry of Health & Prevention, UAE, who attended the opening virtually. The ceremony began with an opening speech delivered by Dr. Ramadan Alblooshi, through which he welcomed the summit’s guests and attendees, and emphasized the importance of “Healthcare Future Summit” in fulfilling the need of a specialized event for industry professionals and providing a platform for learning and networking.
Following the opening speech, His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami delivered his keynote speech, through which he expressed his gratitude to be part of the first edition of “Healthcare Future Summit”, which includes a distinguished group of officials, decision-makers, planners, policy-makers, doctors and specialists.
Commenting on the event, His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, said: “The importance of this summit is based on the fact that it’s happening at a time when the world is racing to reach a vaccine to eliminate the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected all countries. In addition, this summit comes at a time where the health organizations are making comprehensive reviews of their policies, plans, development programs, and all their systems, especially those related to prevention, protection of public health and treatment, and this in itself is an important goal for us to participate together in discussing our health issues and development in the world, and our overall strategic goals, especially the goals of: Sustainability, Health Well-Being, And Achieving A Better Future for Healthcare.”
He added, “Perhaps the seven pillars on which this summit was founded, which are related to (Patient Safety, Healthcare, Innovation, Finance, Data Analysis, Pharma and Medical Tourism), match these goals, and it urges us to work together, and find an interactive channel for the exchange of skills, experiences and insights, especially since this summit includes an important group of experts and specialists. This is, in fact, what we hope, look forward to, and expect at the end of the summit.”
From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani said: “Throughout the extraordinary year that the world has lived, the importance of empowering healthcare communities and Frontliners has become clear and evident. On its first edition, “Healthcare Future Summit” has attracted over 1,200 healthcare specialists, doctors, technicians, and students, who have come together to discuss and explore the latest in the field, and seek ways to enhance healthcare for patients worldwide throughout specialized sessions delivered by 75 international speakers.”
Following the opening ceremony, the sessions which featured some of the most prominent names in healthcare commenced, covering key topics such as “Engaging Families in Treatment of Difficult Cases” and “Patient Care During the Pandemic” among many others.
The agenda for the upcoming two days of “Healthcare Future Summit” will cover the most pressing topics in the field, highlighting the Future of Healthcare, Healthcare Finance, Pharma in Healthcare, Healthcare Innovation & Technology, Wellness And Medical Tourism and Startups Disrupting Healthcare, and will include discussions and networking opportunities for attendees.
It is worth mentioning that the first edition of Healthcare Future Summit is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions – a member of INDEX Holding, a UAE national company specialized in organizing premium events regionally and globally.
