Carrefour Bahrain launches mobile application for convenient online shopping

Manama, Bahrain: Carrefour, operated in the Kingdom of Bahrain by Majid Al Futtaim, has introduced a mobile app to better serve its Bahrain customers. The new app brings shoppers across Bahrain a simple, digitised, and convenient mobile experience. Through the platform, customers can now shop and choose from more than 4,000 products available at Carrefour stores while also receiving reliable and timely delivery right to their doorstep.

The app arrives at an important time for consumers and Carrefour as the protracted coronavirus pandemic sees demand for online shopping increase. Now, the Bahrain community can access a wide variety of high quality products from the safety and comfort of their home.

The application is set to lead the online marketplace in Bahrain, enabling hundreds of shoppers to benefit from Carrefour’s extensive product offering. Initially, the app will offer products from the store’s grocery and household sections, eventually expanding to provide textiles, light household items, and fresh food items, adding more choice and value for consumers.

Jerome Akel, Country Manager of Carrefour Bahrain at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, commented: “At Carrefour, we’re pleased with the variety of shopping experiences we are able to provide for our customers. We make sure that through inventive thinking and effectively responding to customer demands, Carrefour can connect with customers on multiple platforms and meets them where they are. We are confident the new app will provide our shoppers across the country with a convenient option as they browse our offering from the comfort of home.”

In addition to the convenience of shopping for quality products from a trusted retailer, customers who register as a MyCLUB member will also enjoy the benefit of earning points for shopping transactions that can later be redeemed in the form of discounts. Existing MyCLUB members must transfer to the new Carrefour app using their previous registration details and create a new password. All their points and vouchers will automatically be migrated to the new app as the old app will be phased out.

The Carrefour Bahrain app is available for download on the Google Play store and the Apple Store for all mobile users.
