Jeddah – September 1st, 2021 - The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has announced that Zoho Books, ZATCA-accredited, VAT-compliant accounting software from Zoho, a global technology company, is a qualified e-invoicing service provider.

The government of KSA is implementing e-invoicing as a mandatory requirement from December 4, 2021, under which VAT applicable businesses will have to use a compatible system to generate invoices that include all the important fields and provide an option to capture QR codes as per ZATCA’s guidelines.

Further, by January 1, 2023, the system should be seamlessly integrated with the government portal. Typically, in order to comply with these ever-changing regulations, businesses would have to thoroughly assess the capabilities of a system and invest heavily in customising their ERP system that can often be time-consuming and expensive. Zoho Books, however, makes the process simpler, faster and cost-efficient.

"We believe that the FATOORA, e-invoicing project will be an important step towards creating a digital economy in Saudi Arabia. Using Zoho Books, businesses can manage their finances and stay automatically compliant with the local tax laws," said Izzeddin Almozayen, Regional Manager, MEA, Zoho Corp.

"Saudi Arabia is one of the key markets for us, and we are committed to helping local businesses through our enterprise-grade software and local partnerships. With Zoho, businesses can manage not just accounting, but also sales, marketing, employee productivity and collaboration and more, as the company offers 50+ integrated applications that have all been built on the same technology stack,” he added.

Zoho Books is a cloud-based, ZATCA-accredited, and VAT-compliant double-entry accounting software built to help businesses streamline their finances. It offers a single, flexible, scalable accounting platform that is built to take care of compliance automatically for business owners. The software also comes with other advanced capabilities like built-in order management, budgeting, workflow automation, customisable and advanced business analytics, and more.

Zoho Books is a part of Zoho One, a unified cloud-based suite of 45+ applications that can help business owners manage all their business processes such as sales, marketing, finance, collaboration and HR from a single console.
