Al Ain: Al Ain Farms, the first dairy company in the UAE founded by the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Zayed, has achieved the International Organization for Standardization’s coveted ISO 22000:2018 certification, recognizing the company’s excellence in quality standards in food safety management systems.

In a statement, Al Ain Farms said the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to pursuing global standards in food safety systems across the chain of operations, from procurement to processing and delivery.

“Al Ain Farms is one of the few food producers in the region to have achieved this certification; an achievement which comes as a result of our continuous endeavors to ensure that we have ruled out all food safety hazards in our processes. We are a proudly local F&B company operating at the cutting edge of International food safety standards, through best-in-class processes, technology and importantly by nurturing a responsible and empowered work force,” said Ms. Milana Boskovic, Marketing Manager for Al Ain Farms.

In its 38th year of operations, Al Ain Farms is now the largest integrated local food company in the UAE, running four verticals under its brand-ranging from dairy, juice, camel milk to poultry production. In the last fiscal year, the company recorded a turnover of AED 750 million, with the company expanding its presence to newer markets within the UAE and abroad.

This is not Al Ain Farms first ISO Certification, having previously received certification in ISO 9001:2015,14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO22000:2005 Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). Closer to home, Al Ain Farms is also proud to produce Halal certified camel milk powder and to have received certification by UAE federal authorities including Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA).

“The honour of an ISO certification in food safety management system (ISO22000:2018) reinforces Al Ain Farms position as one of the UAE’s leading food producers, mandated with supporting the nation’s food security,” Ms. Boskovic added.

Proudly in its 38th year of serving the nation, Al Ain Farms is set to fulfill a vision of becoming the leading preferred food company in the country by 2021.
