Sbe and AccorHotels have agreed to open over 100 Umami Burger restaurants within AccorHotels across the globe in the next seven years. This is just the beginning of sbe’s restaurant brand collaboration within AccorHotels and the first step to fully integrating sbe’s brands into the AccorHotels ecosystem. In the next few months, sbe will continue to globally expand its restaurant portfolio and entertainment venues including Katsuya, Cleo, Carna, Filia, Diez y Seis, Leynia, Krispy Rice, Hyde Beach Club and its renowned mixology programs SkyBar, S Bar, Privilege and Dandelyan.

The announcement of this partnership follows news of the planned rollout of over 40 Umami Burger locations in Mexico (including four in Q1 2019), 20 more locations in Japan, several locations in the Middle East with two locations in Doha in 2019, and the recent opening of Umami Burger at the internationally acclaimed resort destination Baha Mar in the Bahamas. New York City will also be the home of five Umami owned locations to open in the next 18 months as part of the strategy to grow the Umami presence in the US.

sbe’s continued focus on innovation continues on both the culinary and beverage front with the debut of Impossible Foods exciting new Impossible Burger recipe at all Umami Burger locations, making it the exclusive plant-based burger at all of our locations in the US. In addition, sbe is happy to announce the hiring of award-winning Mixologist, Gui Jaroschy, as Corporate Beverage Director who will also oversee Umami beverage offerings. Gui brings a multitude of experience in the beverage industry and has been recognized by Food and Wine Magazine in its “10 Best New Mixologists” list.
