AMMAN: Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) concluded the 5th session of 'Reviewer of Quality Assurance in Education’ training course which was organized in collaboration between the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy (TAG-Academy) with the participation of specialists in quality education from a number of Arab countries.

Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of AROQA, affirmed that AROQA aims at providing invaluable opportunities for holders of 'Reviewer of Quality Assurance in Education’ certificate to receive practical training through field visits to educational institutions with AROQA teams.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed delight over the participants’ enthusiasm to learn more about the topics of the program, underlining the urgent need for developing the educational system by experts in quality education and evaluation of various stages of educational process.

In addition, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that AROQA organized this course as part of its mission to spread the culture of quality, empowerment and capacity building in the evaluation and quality field, stating that the labor market needs this type of reviewers.

Meanwhile, the training course, which was conducted by the Director of AROQA Mr. Yaser Al Nadi, focused on enabling participants to acquire practical skills of an education quality reviewer. It also included applied workshops for AROQA’s standards and indicators, empowering participants to deal with school self-evaluation in addition to conducting field visits, interviews and reporting.

At the end of the course, participants were given certificates accredited by AROQA as well as attendance certificates presented by TAG-Academy.

For their part, participants applauded the training course which enriched their knowledge to keep abreast of the latest practical, scientific and professional developments and changes. They also thanked Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his ongoing efforts in improving the quality of education in the Arab countries by building capacities and offering quality assurance and accreditation services.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit organization founded in Belgium in 2007. Its main objective is to promote the quality of higher education in general, with a particular focus on the Arab world. AROQA works under the League of the Arab States’ umbrella. AROQA is chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, while its Honorary President is the Secretary-General of the League of the Arab States.
