Cairo: Africa Food Manufacturing Exhibition 2021 will host more than 150 international and local companies in the field of food and beverage manufacturing from more than 16 countries, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. Exhibition doors will be officially open to visitors from Monday, the 2nd of August till the 4th of August 2021 from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm.

The 9th round of the exhibition, organized by Informa Markets under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry; and in cooperation with the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries and the Chamber of Food Industries, is considered one of the most important rounds of the exhibition as it witnesses The launch of two leading global brands, 'Fi Global' for food ingredients and 'ProPak Exhibitions' for food processing and packaging. Both brands will co-locate under their new regional names, Fi Africa & ProPak MENA, making AFM exhibition a one-stop sourcing platform for the latest and most innovative food and beverage ingredients, packaging, processing, and logistics solutions in Egypt and across Africa.

"Egypt occupies a leading position in Africa in the printing and packaging industry, especially in the digital printing market, as it is the future of the printing industry," said Ahmed Gaber, head of the Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries. He added, "The printing and packaging industry attracts major and diverse global investments in this field, and this is what we are witnessing through the demand of many international companies to participate in the Africa Food Manufacturing Exhibition this year, despite the global challenges of the pandemic."

The exhibition covers the four main sectors of food & beverage manufacturing, which are food ingredients, manufacturing, packaging, and logistics. With the participation of many countries, including India, Turkey, Russia, Spain, and Belgium, and it is expected that 4,000 visitors will attend the exhibition over its three days.

"The exhibition is keen to offer its best while implementing strict health and safety measures including social distancing, constant sterilization of surfaces, electronic registration, in addition to providing masks for all attendees. We are looking forward to seeing the F&B industry come together once again to connect, learn and create business opportunities that open new horizons for local manufacturers,” said Mohamed Abdel Hamid, exhibition manager of Africa Food Manufacturing.

The exhibition will also host a three-day scientific conference in cooperation with MENA Food Safety Associates (MEFOSA). It will include 35 sessions by 40 international and regional experts addressing the latest trends, technology, and regulations in the field of food and beverage manufacturing and highlighting potential expansions in Africa and the Middle East.

In light of the exhibition’s support for the industry through the development of the small and medium enterprises market, cooperation was made with the National Bank of Egypt to be the strategic partner. The bank will help by providing a distinguished package of financial and non-financial services such as facilitating procedures, documents, and programs for qualifying factories and food companies. Enabling them with all the success factors for any project, whether it is a new project or to carry out expansions of an existing one. The bank also participates in the conference by providing discussion sessions that include "financial services available for food industry projects", "non-financial services provided to qualify existing and new companies", and "financial inclusion".

Moreover, as we enter a new era and take positive steps towards the recovery of the industry, this year's Africa Food Manufacturing Exhibition offers physical and virtual opportunities through the "Hybrid" system where companies can participate remotely through video conference. In addition to the Business Matchmaking Program, which provides a unique experience for visitors from arranging pre-meetings with various exhibitors to conclude business deals more effectively.
